One of the highlights of the year will be the launch of the ‘Buying European Food Products’ campaign, aimed at increasing consumption and celebrating the outstanding quality of European agri-food products, thus strengthening the relationship between consumers and producers. Funding will be distributed between promotion in third countries such as China and North America, and the EU internal market, with allocations of €70.3 million and €79.7 million respectively.
Christophe Hansen, Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, stressed that these initiatives are crucial for valuing European products and maximising the benefits of trade agreements.
