The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control of Iveco Danmark A/S, Iveco Finland OY, Iveco Norge AS and Iveco Sweden AB (‘Iveco’s businesses in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden’), each fully owned by the Iveco Group N.V., of the Netherlands, by Hedin Mobility Group AB (‘Hedin Mobility’), of Sweden.

The transaction relates primarily to the wholesale, retail distribution and servicing of commercial vehicles, as well as to the sale of spare vehicle parts.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on competition in the markets where the companies are active. In particular, the Commission found that there will be a sufficient number of alternative players in the retail distribution of medium trucks following the transaction. The Commission also found that Hedin Mobility would not have the ability to engage in input or customer foreclosure. The notified transaction was examined under the normal merger review procedure.
